Blue Knights Motorcycle Club

The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, also known as the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, is a non-profit fraternal organization. It was established in the spring of 1974 by a group of law enforcement officers from the Bangor, Maine area.

Purpose and Activities

The organization is dedicated to bringing together active and retired law enforcement officers who share a passion for motorcycling. Its mission includes promoting the mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment, education, physical, mental, and social benefit of its members and the general public. It aims to advance the sport of motorcycling and promote motorcycle safety.

To be a member, one must be an active or retired law enforcement officer with arrest powers. The Blue Knights have grown into an international organization with chapters in several countries. They welcome motorcycles of any make or model, and there is no requirement for prospects or probationary periods for new members.

The Blue Knights have a strong focus on charitable work. They have contributed over $18.8 million to various charities worldwide. Their charitable efforts often support children's welfare and organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Toys for Tots.
