Our mission: augment community health operations during large-s MRC GEM is a part of the USA Freedom Corps/Citizen Corps, created by the President in response to the attacks of September 11, 2001. The MRC program is guided by the HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). We help our health departments meet the needs of our communities when they exceed existing capacity and work with local emergency management to provide support as requested.Our mission is to augment existing community health operations during large-scale emergencies, aid in response to pressing health care needs, and improve community emergency preparedness.
