ALYN Hospital is at the forefront of providing therapies and treatment plans aligned with current evidence-based research. In 2021, with funding from the Helmsley Foundation, ALYN Hospital created the Helmsley Pediatric & Adolescent Rehabilitation Research Center (PARC). PARC, operating as a pediatric rehabilitation teaching hospital within ALYN, aims to measure the effectiveness of novel treatment approaches and verify the reliability and validity of newly developed assessment tools to improve patient outcomes. PARC’s primary objective is to understand better the mechanisms underlying atypical motor and cognitive function. This knowledge inspires real change in healthcare and significantly improves the quality of life for children with disabilities worldwide. In just two and a half years since its inception, PARC researchers have completed over 40 research projects—an exceptional accomplishment for a facility of ALYN Hospital’s size.
