Our Atlas Functional Family Therapy (FFT) partner Central Family Life Center Inc marked #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth with community-focused events that created space for healing, connection, and support. Paint and Heal welcomed Atlas FFT participants and new friends on May 14th for an afternoon of therapeutic creative expression. The event offered a welcoming environment to discuss mental health and help break down the stigma around seeking care. Central Family Life Center also gathered community members on May 29th for a cookout and ice cream social. Guests had the chance to explore the Center’s new space while learning more about the Atlas FFT program and its collaborative, family-centered approach to mental healthcare. Atlas FFT is an evidence-based counseling program for justice-impacted youth and young adults at elevated risk of violence. Offered in homes, schools, and other community settings, Atlas FFT helps participants strengthen relationships with their chosen families as they build better futures.
