Environmental Charter School We Grow Citizens. The Environmental Charter School is a public tuitionfree K12 charter school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Through an innovative ecoliteracybased curriculum we grow active engaged empathetic citizens who are critical thinkers and purposeful agents of change. At its core ecoliteracy means all systems in the world natural social and built are interconnected and the decisions we make as people in our communities and the world ripple throughout these environments.
