Expanding Lives
EL supports education of West African women who are 1st in their families to continue past primary school. They become role models, leaders & agents of change. Expanding Lives supports the education and empowerment of West African young women. Expanding Lives works with our partner organization MICA to encourage young women to be part of the 2 % of women to finish high school and continue to tertiary schools. Our educational conferences help young women to develop the voice, the self-confidence and the problem solving-skills necessary for empowerment. Expanding Lives encourages participants to become active role models, leaders, and agents of change in their communities.

Expanding Lives Empowering young women to become global leaders Expanding Lives empowers young women in West Africa to be leaders in their communities. We provide financial and community support to first generation girls and young women from middle school through university. Participants of our past programs in Chicago present summer workshops in their home communities and act as role models throughout the school year. With the support from our partner organizations in Niger and Benin we change the lives of young women and their families.
