Cal RCV Institute's mission is to improve our elections, bring more equitable representation, decrease polarization, and make government work better for everyone in California by increasing the adoption of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV). RCV is more than a voting method; it is a catalyst for transformative change. * Equitable Representation: RCV empowers underrepresented communities, including people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ people, ensuring their voices are heard in the halls of power. * Increased Voter Engagement: RCV gives more choice to more voters, ensuring a larger and more diverse electorate has its voices heard. * Reduced Polarization: RCV incentivizes candidates to appeal to a broader range of voters, fostering collaboration and reducing extremism.
