The quintessential chamber music festival --where master artists live, learn, and explore great music together in beautiful southern Vermont Marlboro Music is widely acclaimed as the world's foremost center for leadership training in music. For 7 weeks each summer, exceptional young musicians and master artists come together to form a closely-knit family on the campus of Marlboro College—a separate institution—in the foothills of rural, southern Vermont. Stepping away from the daily demands of their profession, artists at Marlboro have the unique opportunity to rehearse works from the vast chamber music repertoire in great depth, with ideal conditions and unlimited time. Under the guidance of Artistic Directors Mitsuko Uchida & Jonathan Biss and their senior artist colleagues, the resident musicians share with one another—and then with audiences on 5 weekends of public performances—the inspired results of their collaborations.
