Fund for A Better Waterfront Inc
We believe that successful waterfronts begin with sound planning, time-tested urban design and an understanding that the water's edge belongs to the public. FBW has been guided by a single unifying vision since our founding: to secure an undeniably public waterfront park along NJ’s Hudson River – now and for generations to come. The Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW) was founded on the belief that the waterfront belongs to the people. Since we began in 1990, we have been dedicated to our vision of a contiguous public park along the full length of Hoboken's Hudson River shoreline. We have achieved a large portion of that goal and are committed to its completion through a process of planning, advocacy and partnerships. We believe that Hoboken can be a beacon of smart urban design and inspiration for waterfront renewal worldwide.

FBW Home Page - Fund for a Better Waterfront We believe that successful waterfronts begin with sound planning timetested urban design and an understanding that the waters edge belongs to the public. The Redevelopment Ordinance for Garage B is carried forward to Monday March 3rd Hoboken City Council meeting for first reading The 25story redevelopment plan will likely produce a behemoth developerdriven proposal that would be appropriate for the Newport section of Jersey City not Hoboken. The mayor and most of the council have paid little heed to objections to this redevelopment proposal that is being rushed through an approval process. The redevelopment plan fails to provide a clear vision for this block and the surrounding area nor does it evaluate the feasibility of actually providing workforce and affordable residential units.
