Norfolk Advocates for Children Inc.
Norfolk Advocates for Children is a partnership of more than 50 public and private agencies that work together collaboratively to help children who experience physical, sexual and domestic abuse. The NAC offers an immediate response to cases of and coordinates to these children and families using a child-friendly, culturally sensitive and multidisciplinary approach. The NAC also provides community, training and advocacy on issues related to child abuse prevention and treatment. The goals of Norfolk Advocates for Children are:•To minimize the number of times that abused children are interviewed•To provide a swift and sensitive response to child abuse victims and their families•To facilitate coordination and collaboration between community agencies•To ensure that comprehensive services are available to meet the needs of child abuse victims and their families in Norfolk County
