Westchester Medical Center is the Hudson Valley region's advanced care and Level I trauma center. Established in 1999 to support Westchester Medical Center's mission of providing the highest quality healthcare, medical staff and technology, Westchester Medical Center Foundation depends on the generosity of individuals, families, corporations and foundations to strengthen the world-class medical care that benefits the tens of thousands of people that we treat each year. Westchester Medical Center Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit devoted to supporting Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, and Behavioral Health Center in Valhalla, and MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. The goal of our work is to provide highly specialized care to adult and pediatric patients who are largely medically underserved and economically disadvantaged, dealing with very complex medical issues, and often don't speak English as a first language.In late 2015, Children's Hospital Foundation at Westchester Medical Center and Westchester Medical Center Foundation merged operations under Westchester Medical Center Foundation and its Tax ID Number (13-4095845).

Last year alone, the SAAVE program supported over 2,100 survivors.
