Last week we visited Pioneer and Woodland High Schools to hold Student Farmers Markets at both schools and the energy and enthusiasm was incredible! Students remarked how excited they were to try new items, like Edgar, a freshman, who was taking home beets to eat them for the first time. A sophomore named Alejandra was surprised getting out of class and seeing the tables covered in fruits and vegetables, "I was excited about what I can bring home to share with my family," she said.🥕🥬🍎 This program gives students access to local produce, hands-on nutrition education, and the tools to support healthier lives. 💚 (fb)

Yolo Food Bank's June 2025 Distribution Calendar is now available! With the arrival of warmer weather, some of our distribution sites have changes to their schedules. Please review the updates below of any new days and times for affected locations. 🍅 Winters High School: Starting June 7, distributions will be on Saturdays at 11:00 AM. 🥕 Woodland Community and Senior Center: Starting June 11, distributions will begin at 8:30 AM. 🥬 University Covenant Church: Starting June 24, distributions will begin at 10:30 AM. 🍊 YCCA West Sac Family Resource Center: June 6 will be the FINAL distribution at this site.
