Each Memorial Day weekend, we proudly continue a tradition that means so much to our community, placing American flags on the Theis Bridge to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. This heartfelt display would not be possible without the generosity of Joseph and Barbara Havranek, who have donated the flags to us for the past five years. Joseph is a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired Greenwich Police Officer, and we are deeply grateful for his continued generosity and commitment to honoring our fallen heroes.
