Today’s #CanineCrush is Loveday. Checkout Loveday. She is another one of the recent arrivals to TBL from Imperial County and for some reason these recent arrivals are among the cutest, nicest dogs that have passed through TBL. Just look at that face, how could you not want to bring her home. Loveday is 2 years old and about 25lbs and is a pug/basset mix. I don’t know what it is, but mix pug with anything and you get an absolutely adorable dog and Loveday sure falls into that category, compound that by adding in some basset hound and you get a lowrider for additional cuteness. She is going to turn heads. This girl isn’t only good looks, she has a great personality. She is very friendly, great with other dogs, she kennels and eats with other dogs, and she is in a large playgroup, she also loves people. She is an amazing little dog. Loveday could live in a lot of situations. She has pretty low exercise needs, so she would be fine in an apartment, but she does love to run around and play with her friends, of which she has many, so joining an existing pack would be fine for her. She seems like she would be good with respectful children, so joining a family could be an option, although she could be fine with a single person or couple who want to have a dog that can go anywhere with them. Wherever she ends up she is guaranteed to make her family very happy. Today’s #CanineCrush is Miss Scartlett. Miss Scarlett is another of the inordinately cute dogs that just arrived at TBL in the last couple of weeks. She is still a puppy, only about five months old, but she isn’t going to get much bigger. She should top out at about 18lbs. Miss Scarlett is listed as a pug/lab mix. She does look like the smallest lab you have ever seen and she is patiently waiting for her family to come get her. Miss Scarlett is happy. There is no other way to describe her personality. She has the joy that you would hope to see in a puppy who knows that her whole life is ahead of her and she is going to charm her way into a really great family. Scarlett has some energy and loves to play with her friends and definitely loves to get attention from whatever human is handy. Scarlett kennels and eats with many other dogs and is in a large play group. She is very social and could join an existing pack or be an only dog with opportunities for canine play dates. Because Miss Scarlett is still so young she could adapt to almost any situation. She would be a fun dog to have with kids or she would be great for a single person who wants a companion that could go anywhere with them. She would love a yard, but would be fine in an apartment with appropriate exercise. Since she is so small she doesn’t need a ton of activity, but some nice walks and some interactive playtime should keep her happy.
