Malteser International Americas is the humanitarian relief agency of the @orderofmalta in the Western Hemisphere and an affiliate of @malteserInt. We are the humanitarian relief organization of the Order of Malta in the Western Hemisphere. We prov Malteser International Americas (MI Americas) is the American affiliate of Malteser International (MI). We are an international humanitarian aid organization and the relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. Since 1956, our collective core task has been to improve the health and well-being of suffering and displaced people around the world. Our organization provides emergency and disaster relief in the immediate aftermath of acute disasters and works towards the rehabilitation and reconstruction of afflicted communities. Our staff works on the front lines, providing both immediate and long-term relief to those who need it most. We intervene to provide medical and mental health support, clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), food, protection, and shelter where possible.
