Elder's Meditation of the Day—May 28 "The land is a sacred trust held in common for the benefit of the future of our nations." —Traditional Circle of Elders, HAIDA GWAII The Creator made Mother Earth to support life, so that everything would continue to reproduce and support one another. Future generations are meant to have the same benefits of supply and beauty as the generations that preceded them. This cycle will only continue to the degree that we make good decisions for the future generations. Today, we are too greedy and selfish, thus we are cheating our children, grandchildren, and the children yet to be born. Creator, let us see the consequences of our decisions and actions. Show us how to make healthy corrections. (fb)

New NAICCO Vehicle Much love and thanks goes out to the Columbus City Council and The Columbus Foundation for helping NAICCO secure a new agency vehicle! Upon showing ongoing signs of wear and tear, it was easy to see that NAICCO needed to replace its former agency van. Through funding from the Columbus City Council and The Columbus Foundation, NAICCO was able to secure a newer 2024 Chevy Suburban. Undoubtedly, this vehicle will help sustain NAICCO’s important mission and vision work. On behalf of all those who personify NAICCO’s existence, we’d like to give special thanks to Councilmember Barroso de Padilla, Councilmember Day-Achauer, Councilmember Dorans, Councilmember Wyche, and all those who helped NAICCO receive recognition and funding through the “5 Nonprofits to Watch in 2024” honors. Without your love and support none of this would be possible. Gratefully, NAICCO Leadership #naicco #naicconation #landbacknaicco #naiccooutdoors 🦅 (fb)
