Good Afternoon, I am writing to you all today to inform you of a new security protocol that will begin on Monday, March 3, 2025. Our High School/Middle School campus entrance will now be staffed with security personnel beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday. After students have entered the building for normal morning arrival, the arm of the booth will now be lowered and all visitors will be stopped and questioned. The guard in the booth will have direct communication with the building Principals, office staff, and our building Resource Police Officers. Our security booth will also allow the guard to see full exterior security cameras for constant surveillance. In addition to the guard at the booth, a marked roving vehicle will also patrol all four school buildings throughout the day. A special emphasis will be placed on our exterior entrances at the high school and our student parking lots. These adjusted security protocols fall within the previously approved budget to increase security at our facilities. I wanted all parents to be aware of the change in advance. This new procedure will slow down visitor entry, but please understand that this inconvenience will increase the safety of our campus. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
