Today, I honor sweet Dell, who was a gateway to my journey in animal rescue. After befriending Dell over a decade ago, I would meet a woman I helped who I would later help with veterinary care for her dogs…and later asked for my help finding homes for puppies. But for Dell, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now. Dell was a love of a man. And while my heart hurts, I am so glad I could be there for him when he needed me most. Snuggle you pets and hold your favorite people tight. And send some love to Dell’s best friend and campmate and their dogs—they’re going to miss him too. (fb)
