Before and after: mural edition! The elevators on Washington 4, a memory care neighborhood in Masonic Village at Elizabethtown's Masonic Health Care Center, got a new look from muralist Alyssa McCoy, owner of ALM Custom Painting, who also did the Lafayette East and West neighborhood murals. Generous donations from Concordia Lodge No. 67, Jenkintown; Lodge No. 9, Warminster, The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, F & AM; and the Sally E. Law Charitable Fund made the project possible. Now, the doors are decorated with Lancaster County hills dotted with sunflowers, lavender and forget-me-nots. (The acacia leaf, a Masonic symbol featured in Masonic Villages' new logo, also appears in the mural!) These murals are more than a decoration – they offer comfort, recognition and conversation, creating a serene, thoughtful environment for all who pass. (fb)

At four days to eight weeks old, these baby goats from Batz Farm are too young to move into Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, but residents and staff loved having them visit! One of our resident's daughters volunteers with the farm, located in Grantville, and helped coordinate their visit. Everyone enjoyed snuggling the goats! (fb)
