Providing professional development for our unique STEM pedagogy, POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) based on research on how students learn best! The POGIL Project The mission of The POGIL Project is to improve teaching and learning by fostering an inclusive, transformative community of reflective educators who design, implement, assess, and study learner-centered environments. POGIL is Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning, a student-centered team learning instructional approach developed through research on how students learn best. We offer teacher professional development and classroom materials to support effective transition from lecture to active learning, plus ongoing training, mentoring, and a dedicated learning community. Along with student mastery of content, POGIL focuses on developing skills such as information processing, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork--21st century learning at its best!
