Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark
In response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Catholic Charities, as a ministry of the Archdiocese of Newark, serves the poor and marginalized and advocates for their needs in order to promote the inherent dignity and worth of all people without regard to race, religion, or culture. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark (CCAN) is one of the oldest and largest social service agencies in New Jersey (operating as a non-sectarian, not-for-profit corporation) providing a wide array of assistance through a network of caring, effective and well-managed social services in the four counties encompassed by the Archdiocese: Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union.
