Western Association of Women Historians Promoting the interests of women historians since 1969 Also known as the WAWH The Western Association of Women Historians is the largest of the North American regional womens historical associations. Although the majority of our members come from the Western United States and Canada we encourage membership and participation from all geographic areas. Conferences The WAWH holds an Annual Spring Conference for the presentation and discussion of scholarly work new research teaching methods writing and other issues of importance to women historians. Attendees had a great time at the 56th annual conference in Portland Oregon.
