Founded in 2007, McKemie Place is the only overnight shelter for unaccompanied homeless women in all of Mobile, Washington and Baldwin Counties. The mission of McKemie Place is to provide a safe haven, spiritual encouragement, and access to resources to help meet the needs and promote the well-being of unaccompanied women in distress.
