MHF serves to raise awareness about heart-related conditions through community education, programs and research. The American Heart Association estimates that, as of 2005, 80,700,000 Americans have one or more forms of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Midwest Heart Foundation is addressing the need to reduce the prevalence of CVD by conducting research and providing education that will improve the prevention and management of CVD.
