To Whom This May Concern: I bring you greetings from Music/Art of NJ recently established non- profit 501(c)(3) organization.You have probably heard about our year-long Star Talent Search contest presently being conducted at the Fabian 8 Cinema in Paterson New Jersey.We would like to inform you that this competition is more than just a contest of singers and dancers competing against one another as to who is the "best" but rather who can show the greatest effort beyond their stage presence. Although talent is an important ingredient when one is pursuing a career in musical performance there are other prerequisites that one must have when dealing with the public both in business relationships and the private sector.These are the skills that Music/Art of NJ desires to teach and develop with this Talent search.One of the ways we are doing this is to invite all contestants to participate in the sales of tickets to their family and friends for a retention and percentage of the ticket price for themselves.They become vested in the contests and are able to continue building their fan-base and followers. Musicians, singers, dancers, and all musical performers must be able to conduct themselves positively when dealing with the public with interviews and any public forum. All entrants are auditioned and the music/lyrics must be respectful of all cultures, gender, and race.The Star Talent contests have been taking place monthly since April 2015. We've had two Top Star quarterly contests with two more to follow. The end of the year Super Star competition will feature a 40 piece orchestra performing and accompanying the singer category quarterly winners with recording contract awards and additional prizes.We are accepting financial help from all that can contribute.Although not exclusively for the youth our motto and vision is to "save the children" and getting music back into our school system. Another goal is to "stop the violence" in our area specifically and get some family-oriented wholesome entertainment back into our local community.We realize this is a challenging endeavor but hopefully you will consider a generous tax deductible donation on our behalf.Sincerely,Music/Art of N.J.
