TECHO [TEH/choh], meaning roof in Spanish, is a youth-led non-profit organization across 18 countries in Latin American and the Caribbean. We are builders. We build houses and community infrastructure to transform slums into thriving communities. We also build a global network of Changemakers, individuals who are changing their lives by changing the lives of others. We believe the combination of bottom-up thinking, collaborative approach with a massive engagement of community leaders, youth, and stakeholders can create a new world without poverty. And we’re already building it, one nail at a time!
