MDI serves as a resource for student tutoring, Orton-Gillingham training, & info regarding dyslexia. Michigan Dyslexia Institute, Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to serving children and adults with dyslexia. By offering the appropriate instruction and support services, MDI provides skills necessary for those with dyslexia to achieve independence and success in school, at work, and as valued members of their communities.

THE FACES OF DYSLEXIA Founded in 1982 the Michigan Dyslexia Institute Inc. MDI was the first nonprofit educational organization in Michigan focused expressly on raising awareness about dyslexia and focusing on the needs of persons affected by it. MDI has been a leader in training educators to provide effective instruction to students through use of the OrtonGillingham Approach. They have also provided oneonone individualized instruction to thousands of children and adults via five regional centers throughout Michigan.
