Black Repertory Group Black Repertory Group Black Repertory Group Celebrating 60 Years of African American Theatre The Black Repertory Group is the oldest African American theatrical organization of its kind in the nation. Established in 1964 it has produced acclaimed performances and launched the careers of famous alumni such as Whoopi Goldberg Danny Glover and Maya Angelou. Great writers like MacArthur Genius Award AUDELCO award winner Ishmael Reed movie pro ducer David E. Talbert comedian Paul Mooney Moms Mabley Katt Williams and so many many performers writers and Directors have dawned the stages of the Black Repertory Group.
