𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧: 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝙆𝙞𝙢 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨! 🧡 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗪𝗩 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿? "I am a member of Calvary PSL, and our Bible study group volunteered here. Then my daughter went to college, and I needed somewhere to volunteer." 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗪𝗩? "I had free time and I saw the need. I love that GraceWay is so connected to our community and other nonprofits. They all help each other." 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗪𝗩? "Helping out after the tornadoes - giving out food, water and supplies in our community and Lakewood Park." 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗪𝗩? "Seeing so many local organizations bringing items to be given out. One day a friend of mine who is a director for the city brought tons of items the employees had collected, [making] me realize we are all part of a BIGGER community." 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆? "I think the “back” work we do in the sorting room helps to ensure we have the necessary clothing for the people who are coming [to] the boutique." 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆? "I have formed many friendships with the other volunteers and enjoy serving alongside them." 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗪𝗩? "Just do it! When you come in and see the need, you can’t just leave and do nothing. It takes so many hands to make all this work. I used to pass by GraceWay Village every day for five years, wondering what it was all about. [I] never came here until [I did with] my Bible study group, but I always felt a nudge from the Lord that I needed to be here. Don’t ignore the Lord’s calling in your life." Kim said, "Meeting and then working with the most amazing -hardworking humble and funny women is such a joy to my soul. With my daughter away at college, it has given me a purpose."
