Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery envisions a world where the power, hope, and healing of recovery are thoroughly understood and embraced. We envision a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced. TheConnecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) organizes the recoverycommunity (people in recovery, family members, friends and allies) to 1) put aface on recovery and 2) provide recovery support services.Β By promoting recovery from alcohol and otherdrug addiction through advocacy, education and service, CCAR strives to enddiscrimination surrounding addiction and recovery, open new doors and removebarriers to recovery, maintain and sustain recovery regardless of the pathway,all the while ensuring that all people in recovery, and people seekingrecovery, are treated with dignity and respect.
