Beacon Sloop Club, Inc.
It sponsors waterfront festivals, activities and programs that draw over 10,000 people to the Beacon waterfront every year. The focal point of these activities is the wooden, replica 19th-century sloop Woody Guthrie. Volunteer crews provide free public sails to over 1,000 area residents annually. These offer access, education & celebration of the river to support preservation efforts.
