The Arc of Central Virginia is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals in the community and their families to prevent institutional placement, now and in the future. We believe that individuals need choices. We encourage individuals to choose opportunities and activities that will help them reach their full potential.

The Arc of Central Virginia We Thank Our Community Business Partners 60 Years of Driving Change and Protecting the Rights of People with Disabilities People with intellectual andor developmental disabilities must be able to lead the life they choose so that they can have a quality of life that is meaningful to them. They often do not have the services supports and personal relationships they want and need to lead a full life in the community. They may encounter attitudinal public policy service system and other barriers that keep them from choosing where they live and work. Moreover they often lack opportunities to participate in and contribute to their communities.
