German American Committee of Greater New York Inc
Each September the German-American Steuben Parade takes place on 5th Avenue to honor German, Austrian and Swiss-American culture and traditions. Steuben and Schurz, Bratwurst and Oktoberfest, Levi Strauss and Milton Hershey, Rockefeller and Kissinger, Charles Schulz and Dr. Seuss... German-American culture is everywhere. Let´s find it and celebrate it. To keep alive German-American culture and tradition; to raise awareness of and celebrate the achievements of German immigrants to the United States; to strengthen the friendship between Germany and the United States.

Celebrate culture, music, and tradition at German American Night on Monday, July 7th at 7:00 PM at Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre. As part of the International Nights series, this event brings the vibrant spirit of German heritage to Long Island. Admission is free.
