We provide civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome injustice, reduce poverty, and increase opportunity. On January 1, 2024, the Legal Aid Society of Columbus merged with our sister program Southeastern Ohio Legal Services, and together we are Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO). While the name is different, the core legal work that we do in our service area will remain unchanged. LASCO continues to serve 36 counties in Southeast and Central Ohio by providing civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome unfairness and injustice to reduce poverty and increase opportunity for low-income Ohioans. LASCO does business as the Ohio Poverty Law Center, a state-wide entity that's mission is to reduce poverty and increase justice by protecting and expanding the legal rights of all Ohioans living, working and raising their families in poverty.
