Pampered Paws Sanctuary, Inc.
Pampered Paws Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to providing life saving care to elderly, disabled and special needs cats.In addition to life time care, all residents are provided full medical treatment by our on recordveterinarian, shelter, food, water, clean litter boxes and all amenities to make their end of life experience as comfortable, stress free and peaceful as possible. We accept our residents from mainstream shelters, when they have to make room for adoptable cats or when a reputable rescue organization requests our services. We also accept cats who's caretaker has passed away or is no longer able to care for them and they are to old or suffer from a disability that would make them unlikely to be adopted at a mainstream shelter. It is our goal to relieve the burden on mainstream shelters from having to euthanize these cts due to age, disability or special need, thus reducing the euthanasia and burn out rate on shelter employees. All residents are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, seen regularly by our dedicated veterinarian, in addition to being treated for any medical condition that arises while in our care. The residents are given full access to most areas in the Sanctuary, do not live in cages, are free to choose the lifestyle they prefer and have access to four dry food feeding stations along with fresh water at all times. They are given wet food daily and any medications/treatments prescribed for them by our veterinarian. They have rooms filled with cat beds, condos, trees and a dedicated "cat room" with a more quiet experience if that is their preference. There are two litter box stations, located on two levels of the Sanctuary and given access to multiple boxes at each station. We aim to allow these elderly or disabled cats to live out the remaining part of their lives in a safe, peaceful, healthy and comfortable environment. When their pass away or their quality of life is deemed to no longer exist, due to health conditions, they are humanely euthanized and buried in our cemetery on the property, remaining close to our hearts for eternity.
