OK Program of Oakland
The OK Program is a mentor program, that empowers Black men and boys to transform their communities. The OK (Our Kids) Program is a mentoring and leadership development model that focuses on African American males 12 to 18 years old. The goals of the program are to help young men develop leadership and critical thinking skills, promote academic excellence to reduce the high rates of incarceration and homicide among young African American males. Additionally, we improve relationships between law enforcement and African American communities. Our collaborative team mentorship model brings together local police officers, schools districts, and the faith-based community with the goal of improving lives while empowering African American men and boys to transform their communities.

The OK Program of Oakland held its "Spring of 2025 Teammate Training" on Saturday, April 18th. The organization certified 41 new teammates to join 740 other men that are current teammates. On behalf of the National OK Program, thank you for your commitment to recruiting, training and organizing Black men to be a Life Support System for Black boys.
