We do this by - publishing news of interest to the chess community - promoting chess tournaments of our affiliate network - organizing state chess championship events - supporting scholastic chess both in the classroom and in after-school programs - providing financial assistance to scholastic state champions to allow them to represent Alabama at national invitational tournaments.
