The Watershed Council is dedicated to protecting northern MI lakes, streams, wetlands, and groundwater through advocacy, education, research, and restoration. Since 1979, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council has worked to maintain the environmental integrity and economic and aesthetic values of lakes, streams, wetlands, and groundwater in Northern Michigan, as well as statewide and through the Great Lakes Basin.
