The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) works to implement strategies ensuring access to a high quality of healthcare for persons of color. Black nurses have the knowledge, interest, and experience to make a significant change in health care TO REPRESENT AND PROVIDE A FORUM FOR BLACK NURSES, TO ADVOCATE FOR AND IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES, AND TO ENSURE ACCESS TO THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF HEALTHCARE FOR PERSONS OF COLOR.

Black Nurses also answered the call. 1970 1971 The National Black Nurses Association was founded at a meeting in Cleveland Ohio to place black nurses in the mainstream of professional nurses.
