RM serves people who live with chronic illness or pain by providing spiritual, emotional relational and practical support. Rest Ministries also equips church in the US to minister to and with the chronically ill. Through programs and resources we seek to transform hurting Christians into disciples and un-believers into Christians who live with faith and hope. Living with rheumatoid arthritis, founder, Lisa Copen discovered a lack of resources, organizations and overall support within the Christian community for the individual who lives with illness. When confronted with illness, non-believers realize that their lives, like their bodies, are not invincible, and they search for answers; while churches avoid confronting confusing healing theologies, New Age faiths eagerly reach out with warmth and answers to their questions.
