DAMTA--Decatur Area Music Teachers Association DAMTA Decatur Area Music Teachers Association Illinois Home Welcome to the Decatur Area Music Teachers Association DAMTA of Illinois. We are a group of music teachers who livework in Decatur Illinois or within a fiftymile radius. We meet once a month during the academic year at Millikin University to achieve the following objectives We offer several performance opportunities for our students through yearly Achievement in Music AIM exams a Duet Festival and Music Camp Scholarship auditions. We are one of eighteen chapters of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association ISMTA which in turn belongs to the Music Teachers National Association MTNA one of the oldest professional music organizations in the United States.
