Mission Monday Have you ever been abruptly stopped in your tracks and made to face a new direction on the path? We can all answer “yes” to that in one way or another. Sometimes, we are asked to do what feels impossible and yet, we take a step back and lean on our faith where we find the strength and wisdom to take steps on the newly laid path before us. The way may not be clear ~ the terrain may not be smooth ~ the landmarks may appear foreign but deep in our heart of hearts we know the WAY. When the newness becomes overwhelming, what we know to be true and the promise that truth offers gives us clear vision and resolve to take the next steps on the path of life. (fb)

Mission Monday Some days it is hard to take our cares to the Lord. We get overwhelmed ~ we get distracted ~ we get tired. Like the men who lowered their paralyzed friend through the roof to the feet of Jesus, we are often asked to carry another to the Lord. Sometimes, the other person doesn’t have the energy or confidence to ask us and, yet, we know and we lift them in prayer to the One who brings healing and strength. This is the beauty of being people of faith ~ we walk together ~ support each other and hold each other in prayer. (fb)
