THE MISSION OF THE MASSACHUSETTS CHARTER SCHOOL ATHLETIC ORGANIZATION (MCSAO)IS TO OVERSEE THE REGULATION, ORGANIZATION AND PROMOTION OF ITS MEMBER SCHOOLS INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC PROGRAMS. MCSAO PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHARTER SCHOOL STUDENT/ATHLETES TO COMPETE AT A HIGH LEVEL AND USES THAT COMPETITION TO TEACH THE FUNDAMENTAL VALUES OF TEAMWORK, DISCIPLINE, SACRIFICE, AND SPORTSMANSHIP. THIS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE STUDENTS' OVERALL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND DEVELOPMENT AS INDIVIDUALS. MCSAO IS COMMITTED TO EDUCATING OUR YOUTH FOR A BETTER TOMORROW AND WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN CHARTER SCHOOL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC PROGRAMS.

Home High School Sports Middle School Sports MCSAO At A Glance Since the organization39s inception in 2005 the Massachusetts Charter School Athletic Organization MCSAO has provided thousands of charter school students with high quality athletic opportunities. The organization has grown from nine schools and two sports to over 50member schools and 15sports serving both high school and middle school students. Theorganization strives to teach key values including teamwork discipline and sportsmanship and places importance on academic success. The MCSAO with help from supporters aims to increase the number of students it impacts extend its reach outside of Greater Boston and continue to adapt to support the growing number of charter high schools and middle schools in Massachusetts.
