Here's some new information from the AKC report for Parent Club Statistics for those of you who interested. This information is being reported by your Health/Longevity/CHIC and Breeder's Ed committees. All information provided is specific to the Dogue de Bordeaux breed. * AKC litter registrations are down from an all time high of 413 in 2013 to an all time low in 2024 of only 184. *Ten years ago, in 2015 there were 960 puppies registered, in 2024 that number was 339 *Limited registrations a decade ago were 109, last year it was only 62 * Average litter size in 2015 was 6.11 and in 2024 it was 5.74 * Unique bitches bred in 2015 was 327, in 2024 only 166 * Unique dogs bred in 2015 was 244, in 2024 it was 124 *Female to male ratio was 1.34 in 2024 *Unique bitches in conformation 2015 =166; 2024=73 *Unique dogs in conformation 2015 = 125; 2024= 53 that's down 25.9% from the year before (2023) (fb)

The DDBSA is registered with the IRS as a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. Additionally the DDBSA is also registered in the State of New Jersey as a nonprofit corporation. During January 2022 the DDBSA received notice from the AKC that the DDBSA was officially recognized and granted status as a member of the American Kennel Club.
