Center for Teaching International Relations
Young Minds. Bold Solutions. CTIR's main program is the World Affairs Challenge, an international program for students (ages 12 - 19) to learn about critical global issues. Using the U.N. Sustainable Development goals as a framework, and working with international and community partners, students learn about the root causes of a specific issue and how it impacts different communities around the world in different ways. They collaborate with an affected community to design and implement a sustainable solution to address their chosen issue. Our students learn that they don’t have to wait to make a positive difference in the world. Through the World Affairs Challenge, our students are making the world a better place today.
