The Community Films Foundation, a 501(c)(3), was established in 2009 for two purposes: to help filmma The Community Films Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established in 2009 for the purposes of encouraging filmmakers to work hand-in-hand with non-professionals from their communities in the making of their motion pictures and media projects.We promote, encourage and nurture the democratization of the art form and medium in communities that are often overlooked by the Hollywood film industry. We believe that filmmaking should be more accessible on Main Street America and that large production studios no longer have sole ownership of the industry.
