BIG MEDIUM
Big Medium is a non-profit organization dedicated to championing and cultivating artists and the contemporary arts in Austin and across Texas. Through our programs and partnerships, we are working to foster the arts and facilitate an inclusive cultural dialogue between artists and their communities. Big Medium produces the East Austin Studio Tour, the West Austin Studio Tour, the Texas Biennial, and presents innovative exhibitions throughout the year in the Big Medium Gallery. We also provide studio space to artists at Canopy and Bolm Studios, and umbrella several artists and creative organizations through our Sponsored Projects program.

Big Medium After more than 20 years of proudly serving the Austin arts community Big Mediums Board of Directors has made the incredibly difficult decision to shut down operations. This has not been an easy choice but it comes after many years of financial hardships and tireless efforts to renew and rebuild Big Medium with limited resources. Over the past few years Big Medium has faced an increasingly difficult financial landscape. Major sponsors including the City of Austin have redirected their funding priorities leaving significant gaps in our budget.
