Where would Charlie Brown be without SNOOPY!?! Actor Emily Gjovik's portrayal is SPOT-ON - zany, expressive, bursting with energy, and *so* charming. Don't miss Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang at our 💛FREE💛 summer show, opening this Friday at the Lubber Run Amphitheater! Meet Emily in our Actor Q&A below! Q: Snoopy is such a beloved character. What's it like playing him?! A: "As the only non-human in the show, I love the unique freedom to lean into the imaginative aspects of the production, really playing to the audience's suspension of disbelief. He’s a playful reminder that this is a show about a comic strip, where anything is possible if you have the imagination for it!" Q: What, if anything, do you have in common with this pup? A: "Snoopy is the definition of a goofball. Which, to be entirely honest, I am too! So Snoopy fits my personality quite well. 😃 " Q: What can you tell us about the Arlington Players? A: "This is my 4th show with TAP over the past four years! I keep coming back because not only is everyone involved incredibly talented, they're truly some of the best people I know. The community is so welcoming! After moving to DC from Washington State, doing shows with TAP was a perfect way to meet and connect with people who also love all things theatre!" Q: What are you up to, outside of theater? A: "I'm usually at the gym, watching movies and TV, walking around DC with my bf and his dog Mia, hanging with friends at a happy hour, tidying up my room (I need a clean space for my mind to work correctly, lol!), attempting some random but fun little artsy craft (coloring books, Perler beads, air dry clay, etc.)" (fb)

Our FREE production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" opens this Friday, and it's time to introduce our Peanuts gang! Meet Linus (and his blanket) played by the spectacular Brandon Schenk. Meet the actor in our Q&A below. Don't miss this hilarious and heartfelt show - playing outdoors at the Lubber Run Amphitheater June 6-15! Q: What have you loved about playing Linus? A: "Linus has compassion and heart at the base of his wisdom which he stands for through hard situations. He isn’t afraid to explore, which is such an admirable quality. Doing a show like this among such a small ensemble affords the actors a deeper opportunity to connect and play. It’s be an honor sharing the stage of course, but more importantly a blessing to share our stories with each other." Q: What do you have in common with your character? A: "I too love a good blanket…" Q: Tell us about your experience with TAP so far. A: "I was the associate producer for "Legally Blonde the Musical," and I honestly love The Arlington Players. It’s a dedicated and talented group of folks making beautiful art." Q: When you're not doing theater, you might be found ______ A: "Traveling the globe seeking adventure!" (fb)
