Free Generation International (FGI) is an abolitionist organization committed to youth-centered and youth-focused interventions. Our mission is to prevent human trafficking through rights-based education, social and economic entrepreneurship (such as workforce development), and access to justice initiatives. Our work includes:• The creation and implementation of trafficking prevention strategies to improve the skills and living conditions of girls in order to reduce their vulnerability to traffickers- including workforce development, specifically through the the Free Generation Academy for Girls in the Greater Accra, Ghana, West Africa• The development of innovative and culturally relevant resources for sensitizing the African public about human trafficking in African contexts.• The mobilization of a Pan-African youth movement against trafficking in persons. Among these projects is a curriculum on trafficking.• Access to Justice programs to increase the prosecution of trafficking cases throughout the African continent.
