MuSE (Multicultural Sonic Evolution) was co-founded in 2007 and became a non-profit arts organization in 2009 with Yui Kitamura and Chihiro Shibayama Music-making with Passion, Trust, and Dreams by the Artists of the Day! Welcome to the world of new arts collaborations! The mission of Multicultural Sonic Evolution (MuSE) is to better the world with the power of music. MuSE collaborates with artists from various disciplines and backgrounds in hopes of sharing classical and popular forms of music with the public. MuSE primarily creates programs with musicians, but also supports artists from other fields such as dance and theatre who value the musical component of their work. MuSE further nurtures development by commissioning new works from contemporary composers and artists. MuSE is co-founded and co-directed by composer Yui Kitamura and percussionist Chihiro Shibayama.
